Sage Lantern Garden
A lantern vase gives this arrangement a homely, decorative look that lasts beyond the flowers themselves. In the Sage Lantern Garden, chosen blooms are arranged inside that lantern style container, creating a small garden scene for a hallway table, a veranda or a sitting room. People in Paraguay often send pieces like this at Christmas, when the house is full and relatives abroad want to be present in some way. It is prepared by a florist close to the recipient and delivered by hand in Luque, Villarrica and other towns. December is a busy month for Paraguayan florists, so overseas customers do well to place their order early. Sage Lantern Garden is chosen by families abroad as a calm thank you to a host, a godmother or a teacher in Paraguay, and for Navidad visits. A local Paraguayan florist delivers it by hand, lantern vase included.
